Dreading a Team Building Event?
Recently my team took part in a team building event. I’ll be the first to admit that I was absolutely dreading it. I’ve done team bonding with previous organisations before and the only real bonding that I felt was with my bath that I had to have when I got home to de-stress from the day! So, suffice to say I was not impressed when I heard I had to take part in another one. I will also be the first one to admit that I couldn’t have been more wrong. The day was brilliant! There was genuinely something for everyone there. I hate physical activities (hence the need for a bath last time), but it was your own choice if you took part in those. I opted out and watched the others do it instead. I love puzzles, so I sat at our table and worked through the huge variety of puzzles we had. Despite the fact that we were doing different individual things we all came away having a great day and a have a genuine learning to take back to the office.

Video Surveillance Can Be Awesome Entertainment
I just watched an incredible video of a security team that was confronted by a gang that was shoplifting in a store mall. The footage is right out of an action movie. I wish there was sound but unfortunately there is not. It is clear that one of the gang members did something to be stopped by store security. There is a group of men dressed in mostly black clothes these are the gang members and the security team is in blue. The beginning is rather slow and then the fireworks begin.
The video surveillance camera is in the perfect area and catches everything. When the first exchange begins, of course a gang member throws the first punch, it look like it might be an even fight but the guy in the blue shirt on the far left of the camera has clearly been in fights before and knows how to handle himself. I won’t give you a blow by blow account, I will leave that up to the video, let’s just say that two of the gang members are asleep by the end of the video. After I watched, it made me wonder about the security we have in this country. The video took place in England it looks like and the security is made up of guys that look like they should be in security. In the US, I do not recall a security team looking like that. I think our security teams here are mainly comprised of overweight guys or store clerks that have to fill in at the last second.
You be the judge. Take a look and tell me if you see the difference of what they have in England compared to what we have here in the US. I guess we can’t USA number 1 in everything anymore or we just have to hire the right guys for the job.

Harv Eker – a Humble and Inspirational Person
I wanted to learn how my town’s economy was not my personal economy. I felt sort of a trapped sitting there and listening to T. Harv Eker telling me how I can change my life. We were all in a downturn right? It was then that through this Millionaire Mind Intensive seminar that Mr. Eker wasn’t so much talking about our town, he was talking about us, as individuals. He was offering good advice on how to be different and make a change. He was guiding me through rationalization and I was hanging on. I was just hanging on so to speak. Dealing with what life gave me. I did need help and quick. It was going to take the way I looked at everything in my life. I didn’t have to live my life in the town’s economy life. Changing my life was beginning to make sense from listening to T. Harv Eker. And, it wasn’t something that would take me ten years.
